Mark Loquan’s music is fueled by his passion for the art, and it garners ongoing recognition from his peers and the industry for his talent, vision, and collaborative approaches to music creation. His accolades span songwriting, filmmaking, and music composition. Notable distinctions include the renowned song Colours Again, sung by Destra and honored as the COTT Pan Song of the Year. He has also been a winner at the International Soca Awards.
As a steelpan music composer, Mark has enjoyed widespread recognition in top steelband competitions such as the Ensemble Category of Pan is Beautiful 1998 and in Panorama across all divisions. Additionally, his work has consistently been featured with Junior Panorama bands in primary and secondary schools, showcasing his commitment to music education and the growth of young talent. Mark continues to be among the top creators of steelpan music, with 34 Panorama compositions under his belt, and there is much more to come.
